During Change

We know change is the only constant.

The change may be goals, board members, supervisors, or personnel. Politics and key topics change.

What are best practices during this constant change? The circle of control is helpful.

Questions to ask yourself first:

What are the changes that have occurred? List.

What are challenges with each of these changes?

From this last list, which are the top five to ten challenges?

From these, where so they fall in the circle of control?

The inner circle is what we have control over. The middle circle is our sphere of influence. The outside circle is what we have no control nor influence.

Once we know this, we can consider how we can influence, and focus on the items that we have direct control over. What we cannot control and not influence is not the target. The target is the center. The influence circle is important, but not the target.

Once we do this, the challenges and the changes become for focused. This practice can continue change aftwr change.
