Repairing Harm as a Leader

We were discussing how we treat others and students one day. I discussed how I do make exceptions for whom is the most marginalized, or has been in the past based on past systemic practices and results.

One may ask, If I didn’t cause the harm, then why do it? I realized the answer on a drive home. Perhaps one May argue that it is not my responsibility. What I know for sure, is that it is an absolute privilege to have the ability and awareness to be part of the repair.

I had some type of privilege to be in the position to help repair harm.

It is an honor, a privilege to cherish, to be in the position to help repair harm.
