Continue to Support your Passion

Whether it is done within your scope of work, or outside, support your passion in the reason for the work you do.

We all know, that not every initiative mentioned is done, nor will it be a common goal, yet it may be your passion. It may be what brings you joy into the work you do. It may be what gives you a sense of accomplishment in having a positive influence in the world.

It may not fit your schedule, within your work day, or within your weekend hours, but it does have a place.

My passion is supporting other administrators and aspiring leaders. My passion is empowering leadership amongst some that may not realize their potential. I am able to have this happiness in the work I currently do in some aspects. Before, I would reach out, or other would reach out, but it was not as easily within my daily work. Yet, I sought out involvement in a program. I emailed my district regarding potential opportunities in the future, and accepted anything available, such as being part of a leadership association. I sought out a particular summer program, for years, to be involved. Last year I had the beautiful experience of participating virtually. This year will be the first year in person, having the role I have been seeking for about ten years.

Yes, ten years is ten years. Ten years of working towards something is an accomplishment, to be celebrated as well. I would not have been in the same place if I had not seen the positive opportunities in between, from roles, to a simple thank you from someone. I worked on empowering others and supporting leaders in the manner within my reach.

I supported my passion.

…and I will continue to do so.
